Safe Wheels for City Streets: Towards a European safety policy for motorcycling

The Motorcycle Industry in Europe supports the European Commission initiative to save 25,000 lives and announced its strategy for reducing PTW casualties. MAIDS – the Motorcycle Accident In-Depth Study – was a significant step towards this aim.
On 24 November, Europe’s Motorcycle Industry presented its Plan for Action to a varied audience of key public and private sector organisations.

This Plan for Action has been based on the major findings of MAIDS (The Motorcycle Accident In-Depth Study) and represents a major commitment to safety from European motorcycle manufacturers.

The conference was held in partnership with the European Commission - Directorate General for Transport.
